I own a local daycare center in Hutto, Hippo Learning Station. We were in a pickle at our baby building and needed service fast to care for our little ones. Everyone was higher in price and could not reach us for another few days! We have used Expert Air for years and could not get them either so we were desperate. I called and had service in an hour. Virtuous Air was courteous, very, professional, and fast. I was able to view pictures from their tablet of work completed. Now our babies and staff are comfortable again. I am grateful for the new contact. I will use them again.

Jacob was extremely responsive to an issue we have with an evaporator coil on a legacy unit. He was able to track down a replacement part for an obsolete system and save us thousands in the process. I highly recommend Virtuous AC if you need a real expert with both engineering and industry knowledge.

Okay so I gotta start by saying Jacob Johnson clearly cares about his customers. How do I know this? I was right there with him as he THOROUGHLY diagnosed a very tricky refrigerant leak coming from the outside compressor which turned my humble home into a hothouse. This booger was SO tricky, it had us BOTH convinced it was in the main outside unit coil which is usually, uh, oh, $10K for a new system, as repairs there are often next to impossible. Spray after spray of leak test….NO BUBBLES, but we could both audibly hear the leak. The leak detectives were seemingly quite stumped. But wait, the plot thickens. Jacob did not give up and after better than an hour and dang near a full bottle of leak test we saw the bubbles we were looking for. Drum roll please. The leak was in the copper line coming out of the compressor and NOT the main outside unit coil. Whew, I think I just saved about $9K!!! Jacob quickly devised a plan that made sense to us both. We parted ways and he sent an invoice that I read and approved about 30 minutes later, never really thinking this busy solo AC warrior would be able to get to it today. No more than two hours later the indoor temp had risen to 87F. The only things that may have been happy were the houseplants at that juncture. My wife and daughter sure weren’t. Within another half hour there was Jacob at my home with the repair needed supplies and copious amounts of refrigerant that would be needed. He lit into it and performed the tricky pipe fitting work in tight quarters inside the outside compressor with much acumen. He then drained the old school refrigerant and filled up with the new good stuff(required). We had likely lost 70-80% of the refrigerant and it made sense to have ALL of the refrigerant the same type, so ALL was replaced. The tricky copper line repair, refrigerant drain and refill, complete test was done in under 3.5 hours. Including the time spent diagnosing Jacob had given by my calculations close to six hours of his time!!! The house cooled from 87F to 75F in no time at all. Plants said boo, people said YAY!! Let’s hear it for the people. Power to the people! Lastly the price. I won’t list the exact number, but my 13 year old American Standard Platinum 2 Stage was given a new life. If I get a few more years of service from it, it’s definitely A HUGE win. What stood out most was Jacob’s tenacity to stick with it and find the hard evidence of the EXACT leak location. It would have been easy to just throw up his hands and prescribe a new unit. That didn’t happen of course because of well I guess I will call it “virtuosity.” Get it? In the end, as I sit hear at 128AM typing this, I feel very good about the outcome. Since I really didn’t sleep last night, I suppose I should now and close this review and my eyes for a while. I truly hope everyone found it informative and maybe even a little entertaining. A few photos of Jacob’s handiwork haven been added.

Jacob with Virtuous Air Conditioning and Heating is now our HVAC guy and the only company we want to work with for all of our HVAC needs!!! They came out to our home, diagnosed issues that we had with the cooling system in our home and he fixed them!!! We were quoted by another company a price to install UV lights in our attic to prevent mold grown and he did the job for way less. He told us that he used to work for those big companies that overpriced their services ane he didn't want to do that. Jacob is hard working, efficient, his prices are reasonable and his work is amazing!!! If you want quality work on your HVAC system, do yourself a favor and call Virtuous!!! They live up to their company name!!!

Very pleased with Jacob the owner, who I met by chance. I had 3 visits from other companies, but they couldn’t figured out exactly what the problem was with my air conditioning unit. Some suggested I need to replace the entire unit. Jacob came in and it took him shot time, he was able to diagnose the problem and got it resolved instantly. I couldn’t be more blessed!

He added an extra vent to our room (which was the hottest room in the house). Now our room is the coldest room in the house. To make things better it was prety affordable and took him only 2 hrs to comlete the job. Highly recommend if you want to stay cool in this Texas heat without breaking the bank.

I contacted 4 or 5 companies in the Pflugerville & Round Rock area about replacing an evaporator coil. Virtuous was (by far) the best and easiest to work with. Professional, polite, and responsive. Jacob got back to me quickly and came out the next day to review our system. He confirmed there was a leak and explained all of our options at different price points. He was transparent on price and really easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Virtuous.

Jacob came with in a few hours and explained in detail the possible reasons for the problem. Sure enough, he was correct and replaced a failing component.
